Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

The world as we know it is changing. Ocean levels are rising, coastal cities are sinking. Yet such is the nature of humans and our fellow beings, we do our best to adapt. These people and Polar Bears aren't quite sure if they're having a good time. This scene is based on South Beach, Miami. The slanted horizon gives a slightly floaty and seasick feeling. It's somewhat mitigated by the line of clouds on the horizon, which is actually level.

I live and work in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My perception of things is expressed in a narrative, story-telling form. The style is cartoon-influenced, yet painterly; sometimes refined, sometimes crude. In recent years I have been moving toward a more Cartoon-Realist approach. I want a simpler look, where I can get the utmost expression out of each line, and each brushstroke expresses energy. My influences range from the scenes of everyday life pictured in the margins of medieval manuscripts, Late Medieval and early Renaissance art, Indian narrative folk painting, classic European Surrealism, Latin American Fantastic Realism and Mexican Social Commentary, comics and graphic novels.
