This is a Day of the Dead piece for 2014. Shakespeare said "All the world's a stage", and whether we "strut", "fret", or dance our hour upon the stage, we should strive to do it with humor, grace and reverence for the dancers who came before us. We all must bow to the star of the show, and play our part. This play may end, but a new one will begin.

I live and work in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My perception of things is expressed in a narrative, story-telling form. The style is cartoon-influenced, yet painterly; sometimes refined, sometimes crude. In recent years I have been moving toward a more Cartoon-Realist approach. I want a simpler look, where I can get the utmost expression out of each line, and each brushstroke expresses energy. My influences range from the scenes of everyday life pictured in the margins of medieval manuscripts, Late Medieval and early Renaissance art, Indian narrative folk painting, classic European Surrealism, Latin American Fantastic Realism and Mexican Social Commentary, comics and graphic novels.
