This is a lovely, serene rabbit, symbolizing the abundance and fruitfulness of Nature, when She is appreciated, revered, and protected in all her purity and wonder. Nature should be left alone to do what she does best; managing all life on Earth to the benefit of all. A jarring note of dark humor is injected with the addition of a Brazilian Wandering Spider. This spider is highly venomous, and has caused men to have fatal, painful erections!
About Holly Wood
I live and work in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My perception of things is expressed in a narrative, story-telling form. The style is cartoon-influenced, yet painterly; sometimes refined, sometimes crude. In recent years I have been moving toward a more Cartoon-Realist approach. I want a simpler look, where I can get the utmost expression out of each line, and each brushstroke expresses energy. My influences range from the scenes of everyday life pictured in the margins of medieval manuscripts, Late Medieval and early Renaissance art, Indian narrative folk painting, classic European Surrealism, Latin American Fantastic Realism and Mexican Social Commentary, comics and graphic novels.
